Ubi Sunt?

UBI SUNT?

Where are the great scholars of old who once graced the halls of The Capstone? Where is the successor to Mercer Cook, professor of French and former departmental chair? It was Mercer Cook who first made Cheikh Anta Diop’s work available to the English-speaking world. The current departmental chair is a bogus professor of Spanish who has concurred with the failed “peecar” project championed by the repudiated current president of The Capstone. If they had their way, Mercer Cook’s magnificent contribution would be rendered almost meaningless.

I agree with you a 100%! Where is professionalism at the World Languages and Cultures department? I don't know, but it surely isn't coming from the chair, nor his secretary and departmental secretary, nor in its almost dying professors. GET US SOME NEW teachers... SOME that know how to use an eMail at least!

Howard University has a problem! It is TOO old! All of the ancient dinosaurs taking space and air on this campus need to just GO... Dr Davis FIRST!
